Musée Charmey

Inaugurated in 1991 (the Foundation was incorporated in 1988), the Museum has had its goals refined over the years. Through his exhibitions, he has positioned himself in the field of applied arts and more particularly paper, with his International Paper Triennial (first edition in 1993, the ninth is scheduled for summer 2017). This Triennale has become the Museum's calling card, which has never forgotten its regional vocation: organization of exhibitions around the alpine economy, the Chartreuse de la Valsainte, the manufacture of straw or the craft of wood. Regular publications have documented the cultural and scientific work, prelude to each exhibition and event of the Museum.
