Among the cultural reality of the Sulcis, the Museum of Rural Life of Domusnovas occupies a prominent position. The Museum is housed in a building built in 1940, recently restored, according to a court typology with loggia (sa husk). Originally the place was used as a shelter for grazing animals, away from the town after communal provisions prohibiting the presence of animals within the country for hygienic - health problems. The country now houses a collection of over 1,300 pieces covering the agricultural tradition of Domusnovas and Cixerri plain. In the museum are all items and kitchen utensils, containers and equipment for the cheese and wine. From domestic life is passed to work in the fields, with a review of iron and wooden plows, carts, tools for sowing, for the collection and transport of agricultural products. A visit to the Museum is the perfect opportunity to rediscover their roots and make a jump in the past: the elderly can sew the flaps of their own memories, while the younger ones can learn a vanished world.
