The Peoples and Cultures Museum was founded in 1910 under the name "Museum entografico Indo-Chinese". Originally conceived as a sort of Wunderkammer (chamber of wonders), over time knows many changes and expansions, which led him to take on the connotation and present name. Her collections are mainly formed by continuously sending objects by the missionary father in 1852, and feature works from Asia - particularly China - Latin America, Africa and Oceania. The assets date back to different periods and are due to thematic or geographical strands including emerging Buddhist sculptures, grand Taoist altars, ornaments of tribal people, the precious and delicate Chinese and Japanese fabrics and antique ceramics and Chinese porcelain. The museum also offers the public school and adult educational programs numerous times to enhance the heritage and to offer a broader look on the cultures whose collections become the mouthpiece.
