The MATBC hosts the collection of its creator, Tomàs Balvey and Bas (1865-1954), the last apothecary of an old naga documented in Cardedeu since 1664. The museum conserves the whole of the Balvey Pharmacy, with the original furniture dated in 1780, and more than 200 ceramic pots of 1827, most of which still retain the original substances. In addition we have a garden dedicated to plants and specimens of medicinal use. On the last floor is the exhibition Tomàs Balvey collector, where you can find a sample of each of the collections that Tomàs Balvey established throughout his life.
