Nielsens Kaffeegarten

Nielsen's coffee garden is now operated in the 4th generation by the Nielsen family in the best bakers and confectioners tradition.

In 1919 Nicolai Nielsen opened the idyllic Keitum coffee garden, his son and successor Karl died 1940 and so his wife Lenchen had to run the operation through the war and post-war years until the 1933 born son Max 1957 could take over the operation after comprehensive training.

Today Jens Nielsen, born in 1957, runs the café with his wife Elizabeth. Traditional craftsmanship, modern manufacturing methods and warm hospitality still determine the character of the house.

After his apprenticeship, Jens Nielsen was initiated by his father Max into the secrets of the specialties offered in "Nielsen's Kaffeegarten" and acquired and improved further knowledge and skills in renowned companies in his further years as a journeyman and master craftsman. The results of these efforts can be seen and tasted!
