Residenza " I due Mondi"

Residenza "Due Mondi" is an ancient palace of the late 500 adjacent to the Roman Theater and therefore immersed in the heart of the historic center of Spoleto; it houses four spacious apartments. It has a strategic position to easily visit the center and fully enjoy its beauty: a few steps away is the elegant Corso Mazzini, full of craft shops, shops and art galleries, the historic Market Square (home of the ancient forum), the Druso arch, the Roman domus and the 11th century Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Reachable in a few minutes on foot is also the picturesque "tour of the Rocca", a walk around the fortress located on the highest point of the city, from which you can admire the ancient Roman aqueduct and the magnificent panorama of the Spoleto valley. The presence of city buses and the recent design by the Municipality of eight mechanized routes (escalators and underground lifts, two of which are just a few minutes from the apartments) make parts of the city more accessible only by car, allowing visitors to explore alleys and squares walking pleasantly on foot. For those who prefer to move by car, close to the apartments there is still a large multi-storey car park.

Spoleto, city of art and rich in history, offers a lot to its visitors and also has a strategic position to visit the rest of Umbria, one of the most beautiful regions of Italy. Not far from here are Assisi, Bevagna, Spello, Cascia, Norcia, Perugia, splendid ancient villages, the Sibillini Mountains Natural Park, the Marmore Waterfalls, the Fonti del Clitunno.

Not to be missed in Spoleto: "Festival dei Due Mondi", international event of music, art and culture, now in its 58th edition.

"Piano Festival" with music ranging from Bach and Chopin to Franco Battiato and Fabrizio De Andrè, through compositions by contemporary authors.

The concerts and activities related to the "Opera Season" of the A.Belli experimental lyric theater that since 1947 brings artists of national and international fame to Spoleto every year.

Spoleto and its surroundings also offer its visitors the opportunity to enjoy beautiful walking routes surrounded by nature and for bicycle lovers to take advantage of the convenient bike path to reach Assisi and many other picturesque destinations such as Campello sul Clitunno, Trevi, Montefalco, Bevagna, Foligno.

"Residenza Due Mondi" is a very long-standing residence, dating back to the late 500's, recently refurbished, and adjacent to the Roman Theater and therefore deep into the historical center of Spoleto. City buses and the city council, two of which are only a couple of minutes from the apartments, now make it easy to reach those parts of the city that were previously only accessible by car, thus enabling visitors to explore lanes, alleys and squares comfortably on foot. For those who prefer to drive, however, there is a large multi-story carpark near the apartments.
