Residenza Porta Di Mare is located in Castellabate; the sea and the coast of Castellabate have been under marine biological protection since 1972 to preserve its natural and environmental heritage, representing one of the first examples of marine park in Italy. Castellabate is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. "The medieval settlement stands on the Sant'Angelo hill and has five accesses:" Cavalieri "port and" di Mare "port, from the sea side; brings "la Chiazza" and brings "Sant'Eustachio" from the countryside; port "de li Bovi" from the hinterland (Belvedere). The main access is from the "Belvedere di San Costabile" (formerly called "Vaglio"), a terrace overlooking the sea with a panoramic view of the Gulf of Salerno, the island of Capri and Ischia. The completely restored structure has become a reference point for artistic, cultural and social events. The village is characterized by the intertwining of narrow streets in stone and narrow passages below the connecting houses. These include the various eighteenth-century noble buildings, built from scratch or expanded from pre-existing dwellings, which belong to wealthy families of the place or the nobility of Salerno and Naples. The main ones are: Palazzo Perrotti (from the seventeenth century, preserves the room of Gioacchino Murat intact), Palazzo Matarazzo (one of the largest and oldest of the village with its two artistic Aragonese portals and the family crest painted on a vault), palazzo Ancient, Jaquinto palace (with the coat of arms on the entrance door), Palazzo Forziati, Palazzo Meriglia, Palazzo Verrone, Palazzo Gammarano and Palazzo Comenale (headquarters of the municipal archives). But the real agora of the medieval village is the square 10 October 1123 (foundation date of the castle) with a panoramic view of the Annunziata valley " From this brief history of Castellabate we can understand the etymology of the name of the residence "PORTA DI MARE" and the importance of the name of the street "G.B Forziati" where the latter is located. The structure has been completely renovated recently, but maintaining its identity and its ancient beauty.
