Rosicat Boboshticë

It is a holiday in the village of Boboshtica. This day he finds it once a year, with such an atmosphere, with musical sounds and many other surprises. Occasional walkers, who have come to spend some time in the famous village of Korça, are surprised when they suddenly see some women in the street who are dressed in traditional costumes. For them it is a rare thing and they quickly rush to fix this moment in their appliances. "They are Rosicat," one of the women explains. Transylvanians who come from afar raise their shoulders in amazement, but satisfied with what they see stand to follow what is happening in the village. Women dressed in suits have emerged from the church of Saint Mary. Traditional music and dances have started on the hillside. The wearing costumes are varied. They show how women are dressed, while the presence of different cultural communities is easily distinguished by the nature of their costumes.

"This is a pagan as well as a Christian holiday," one of the women says. She is called Elpi Manco and has gathered her friends the day before. Women have left their home affairs and have come out to take part in this holiday. But not all are there, between costume collection. Others are waiting for knocking at their home door, where they have been ready for this holiday. They are waiting for Rosicas. The music accompanying women in suits is approaching more village houses as they left behind the church and monastery that was blown out of songs and dances. Like traditional costumes, they start dancing on cobbled alleys.

Rosicat are approaching the house gates. Here they start a song, announcing they have come to welcome the generosity of the peasant families. In the song lyrics there are congratulations, lazy and then kick off before the yards laid with plaits and stones. Housewives, but also husbands quickly emerge. After joining Rosicat, the wife of the servir house "candies" and plums. Flour, butter, eggs and sugar are ready. They give Rosicas with them. These will cook later with them, while a great lunch will welcome residents as well as visitors to the generosity of the table. The Zahiret will be used for cooking pies, sauces, pancakes and breadcrumbs, but also sweets. These are all characteristic cookies of the area. The cobblestone streets take the descent and with them the women who, after leaving a home, pass to the other and so on. Teto Leta, after filling the Rosicave bag, comes out in sokak. She loves and accompanies the women who dance.
