Tallinna Kirjanduskeskus/Eduard Vilde Muuseum

The museum, located on the first floor of a pink neo-baroque house built in the mid-19th century by the Kadriorg castle governor or castellate, introduces the last home of one of the best known Estonian writer Eduard Vilde (1865-1933) in the early 20th century.

Since 1946, the writer's historic apartment has a museum called E.Vilde. The permanent exhibition of the museum gives a complete overview of the writer's life and creation. Through an authentic home, the ordinary person is behind the creation. Writer, but still human!

The interior of the Vilde Museum has been considered one of Estonia's best-preserved 20th-century interiors, where it is also possible to see the output of the Luther factory. The museum offers a number of educational programs, birthday parties and new art exhibitions every month on our second floor at the Castellana House Gallery.
