Théâtre des Doms

The Théâtre des Doms is from the summer of 2002 the southern showcase of contemporary creation of French-speaking Belgium.

Its mission is to contribute to radiation artists, creations and cultural projects from the Federation Wallonia-Brussels, for the promotion and distribution, mainly in France.

It is run by a nonprofit association of professionals of culture and funded primarily by Wallonie Bruxelles International, the administration of international relations of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels.

It is open to all artistic disciplines, primarily in performing arts (theater, dance, music, circus ...), and offers a diverse and rich vision of the qualities and character creation and action cultural from Wallonia and Brussels. Programming choices are oriented primarily towards works to contemporary dimensions stating the current look of artists and French-speaking Belgian creations.

The Théâtre des Doms acts within the permanence and the long term.

If the festival is a peak in its action towards professional programmers and to a geographically broad public, its location at the foot of the Palais des Papes is permanent and its business covers the entire season.

It is not a showcase, but also artistic guesthouse.

It welcomes in residence, artists he accompanies in their project creation and their desire to spread.

He participates in local and regional events, during which he shows selected program in Francophone Belgium. This is, among others, the CDC-The Winter Festival of Festo Pitcho, the Biennial of the Scriptures of the Real, the Biennale Funny (s) Hip hop, Music Festival ...
