Zoo du Bois du Petit-Château

The zoo has animals and birds of the past and present European fauna. One exception: the otters ash that once their new enclosure built, will have an educational role in order to raise awareness of the problem of illegal possession of wildlife.

Some cages have exotic birds, usually recovered from individuals.

The vivarium presents species of fauna of the five continents (reptiles, amphibians, fish, invertebrates).

A professional zoo is an accredited institution with a collection of live animals used for conservation purposes, scientific research, education and public presentation.

Thus, Zoo La Chaux-de-Fonds is trying to follow the missions EAZA * • entertainment • conservation of endangered species • Environmental Education • Scientific Research
