The "a.gon theater production" was founded in 2001 by the Munich director and actor Stefan Zimmermann and Iris von Zastrow.

a.gon develops stage productions. Notably for the large number German, Swiss and Austrian theaters that do not entertain their own ensemble. a.gon offers productions that are characterized by high quality: content, aesthetics and artistic. Entertainment is a term we value. Good entertainment requires the highest level of professionalism, precision and creativity. It allows the desire to get involved in the validity of proven and new texts, the personality of great artists and the unique imagery of the theater.

a.gon wants to enrich the audience - including the desire to go back to their own theater again and again. No other place in a city is so much a cultural center and preserves the identity-forming tradition of intellectual-aesthetic confrontation. Their local stage is part of a unique theater landscape in the world and therefore part of the world cultural heritage.

The a-gon Theater GmbH is exempt from VAT because it fulfills a cultural mission. The GmbH is registered in the commercial register of Munich as a corporation. Jurisdiction is Munich.
