ADAS musikaliska teater

ADAS musical theater was founded in 1993 by actor and dramatist Fia Adler Sandblad.

ADAS works with stories about women, stories that are rarely heard and seen in public space and with other angles on famous stories. We place ourselves in the periphery and give voice to the exempt and dumb, illuminate the world around and make it normal and obvious to what is critically stated. The questions we raise challenge our view of ourselves, our history, our future and our future.

The reflected bodily knowledge and experience of the world is the starting point of our artistic work. A physically tangible, rhythmical and musical spectacle where we mix high and low and investigate how the actor can work with his theatrical and his own self in his gesture on stage to overcome the dichotomies reality fiction, comedy tragedy, fine culture folk culture.

ADAS musical theater makes engineerings that are mobile and flexible, and we are happy to work with organizers around site-specific conditions.

In addition to Fia Adler Sandblad, ADAS musical theater consists of a close cooperation between new and established theater artists such as composer and musician Jonas Franke-Blom, director Gunilla Johansson, musician Sanna Källman and light designer Christofer Fogelberg.

ADAS musical theater is supported by the City of Gothenburg Culture, Västra Götaland Region Cultural Council and SENSUS Study Federation. We are also supported by the Danish National Council for Cultural Affairs, the Längmanska Kulturfonden, the Lundgren Foundation and the Konstnärsnämnden.
