Bibliothèque Nationale et Universitaire de Strasbourg

Founded in 1871, the National and University Library of Strasbourg, with a collection of more than 3 million volumes, the second library in France. She is a recognized center of excellence at national and European level for the Germanic languages ​​and civilizations, religious studies and European issues. The NBU also preserves important heritage collections of great value (manuscripts, papyri, incunabula, numismatics, iconography ...) and proposes a regional fund devoted to Alsace covering all areas and constantly updated. She is the depositary of the printing legal deposit to the Alsace region.
