Bio Roy

The rich cinema at the top of the Götaplatsen was reinvented in November 2008. The cinema was for the sake of sake not to have the name Royal. Therefore, bion was called after the Gothenburg-born filmmaker Roy Andersson, and the last two letters on the plate were extinguished.

Roy has a daily bio focus on quality film, afternoon and evening views. Here you can also view live broadcasts from Swedish and international scenes, including Metropolitan in New York, Bolshoi in Moscow and National Theater in London. We also arrange special offers of different kinds.

In the foyer we have a cafe with coffee, drinks, cakes and sweets, largely organic and fair trade. However, no popcorn.
