The Förderverein Heimatmuseum Burg e.V. was founded on 29th March 1993 in the Bökelnburghalle in Burg. At the founding meeting 35 members appeared. The aim of the association is to set up and later operate a museum of local history in the old craftsman's house, which was acquired by the Burg community in 1992 in the large Mühlenstraße 6, and to restore the building to an authentic state. The club currently has 95 members.
