Founded in 1966 by Daniel Templon, the gallery celebrates its fiftieth anniversary in 2016. A pioneer of contemporary art in Paris, she played a key role in the opening of the French scene to the international creation. Ardent defender of French creation and spokesman of its evolution, Daniel Templon founded with Catherine Millet in 1972 the magazine Art Press. In 1986, Artstudio, review analysis of the great movements of contemporary art. In 1989, he created a museum, Daniel Templon Foundation in Frejus in southern France. In 1994 he was a founding member of the ADIAF (Association for the International Diffusion of French Art), which includes many collectors and annually awards the Prix Marcel Duchamp.


True to its principle, the gallery today continues to be confirmed or younger artists with strong personalities beyond the modes or special media. The exhibition program creates a dialogue between historical or established artists such as Anthony Caro, Jim Dine, Claude Viallat and experiences of younger artists like Philippe hatchet, James Casebere, Jonathan Meese or Iván Navarro.


In 2007, the gallery opened a second space Impasse Beaubourg.
