Opened in 1986 with an exposition of François Morellet, the gallery became Oniris time, a landmark of contemporary art in Britain.

For three decades, the history of Oniris gallery reveals the special attention given to the study of contemporary art in the field of abstraction ● through painting, drawing and sculpture ● with a basic philosophy: regularly expose the recent work of a group of thirty artists.
