Glaciarium - El Calafate

GLACIARIUM is a glaciological interpretation center, and one of the few Museums of its kind in the world. It is dedicated to the dissemination and investigation of glaciers and also provides a message of environmental awareness. The architecture proposes an emblematic, expressive and forceful image, its modern lines refer to the glacial aesthetic. The contents are exhibited through the most modern resources; through animations, models, movies, dioramas, photographs, and a 3D documentary that make the visit a unique experience. The Cafeteria, the Ecoshop, a cultural space for art exhibitions, and the GlacioBar, the first ice bar in Argentina complete the visit.

GLACIARIUM is a modern interpretation galciological center, and one of the few Glacier Museums in the world. The understanding of glaciers and environmental awareness are our main subjects. The architecture is quite unique and the façade of the building is reminiscent of the face of a glacier. The exhibits include models, dioramas, photographs, screens, interactive representations, 3D documentary, and other modern resources that provide an enriching experience. The Cafeteria, and EcoShop, the GlacioBar, first Ice Bar in Argentina and a space for cultural events & art exhibits are also offered.
