Historisches Museum Schloss Arbon

The medieval castle of Arbon with its fortified tower houses the largest local and regional history museum in the canton of Thurgau.

The modern designed permanent exhibition takes you on an exciting journey through five and a half thousand years of exciting settlement history on Lake Constance. The many original finds, documents, masstabgetreuen models, pictures and photos are here and there winking complemented with comparable objects of our day.

Various departments in the mighty tower show everyday life and society of yesteryear, water supply, church and castle history, local weapons, climatic leaps and bounds on the lake. The ascent to the tower room is rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view.
