Il Falco Grillaio

The Falco Grillaio refers to the bird of prey that has its habitat in the Ginosa ravines, on the margins of which our reception system develops. Our model is the Albergo Diffuso. What is the Albergo Diffuso? It is a new way of doing tourism, of offering hospitality. Not the classic vertical hotel, but a series of lodgings distributed in the neighborhood, housing that maintain their original specificity in terms of construction and furnishing typology, which preserve the signs of life, that recall, in short, the time that was. This type of tourism favors the relational contact with the residents, it shares the day, the life, the kitchen. You look around and enjoy the rhythms, the flavors. It is the ideal approach for tourism in ancient villages such as Ginosa.

The villages represent a widespread minor historical patrimony that must be protected, and that I believe represents the true soul of the small towns of the province, such as GINOSA. For a long time modern culture has above all protected the great artistic cities, but it is this minor patrimony that determines the identity of the places and of those who live there.   As far as possible we have left intact the restructuring of the traces of the lives of the peoples who have inhabited these places. Views of enchantment in the wild nature will make you experience new emotions. Currently there are 4 apartments, but when fully operational, in some time, the apartments will be seven, all in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Orologio, with ample parking. The houses are located in via Garibaldi, in via Cortina and in via Largo Cortina, in Ginosa, province of Taranto. The apartments consist of one and two-room apartments, complete with bathroom and kitchen. They are mostly furnished with period furniture, with furnishing accessories from the homes of our grandparents.   GINOSA is a land of charm, with a strong identity that has never found the right evidence on the tourism level. The road to follow is that of protecting identity aspects. For many years this so-called minor patrimony, its architectures, the poor but strong furnishings, the traces of the experience, had been canceled in a work of collective removal that the people of the south, in general, had worked. These traces were linked to a past marked by poverty, by brutality, that world was considered backward and outcast. Whole neighborhoods, like the Revolt, have been abandoned to their fate. Ginosa, like Matera, is the stereotype of the poor and marginal historical place that becomes a place of seduction, because what was marginalization, a reason for refusal, today is typical.   The APARTHOTEL as the Albergo Diffuso is not a bed and breakfast, although with the B & B has a lot in common, especially in relation to the simplicity of the offer, while it differs for the urban location that for the Albergo Diffuso will always be the historical center , it also stands out because it offers not the room but the whole house, complete with kitchen, because those who make long stays can organize to prepare and have meals at home. It is ultimately a holiday home, but with an exclusive and evocative setting. What is certain is that you will be traveling but you will feel perfectly at home.
