Jósa András Múzeum - Régészeti osztály

The Szabolcs County Archaeological Association founded on December 1, 1868 - the county museum of András Jósa - since 1918 - "the old age" has been boasting thousands of pieces of archeological, anthropological, numismatic and other historical memories. Thus we can say that it is the home of the "open treasures" - bronzers, v. Century jewelery jewelery, the rich find of cemeteries of the conquering age, Arpad and medieval swords - to provide home-made objects of artistic value. Nowadays, the number of finds exceeds hundreds of thousands, since the András Jósa Museum is a reminder of all archaeological finds in the county - objects, buildings, pieces, organic residues, etc. - to make room for the specialized collection created for this purpose. By guarding the material of the archeological goods, we would only store "exhibition decorations" if the "museum guardians" did not accurately record the findings of the source and the shooting conditions, which are still so carefully kept in the excavation documentation. "Helping the Hand" generous patrons: Baron József Vécsey, András Kállay and their private collection delivered Ede Liptay and Dr. Sándor Saáry. The predecessors were proud of their proud successors and they developed the museum: Dezső Csallány - researcher of the avian age, István Dienes - a famous acquaintance of the conquerors, János Makkay - a scholar of neolithic communities. With the utmost perseverance, Péter Németh - the scholar of the conquest and of Árpád - and an "excellent polytheist" of our "narrower patria" - fought in Rakamazon, Szabolcs, Szatmár and Bereg ... but perhaps even the most courageous in the county hall through a half-lifetime.
