KINO Kultura Starachowice

There were three permanent cinemas in Starachowice. Two belonging to the Fire Brigade and the third private "Mr." Lemana.

After the war, permanent cinema "Star" began to function at ZDK since 1957. After resolving the ZDK in the building Jaspol company - the cinema was operating sporadically. Since 1992 the cinema has not been operating, the building was rented by the Club "S" of the International Corporation of Canada. The beginning of the 90's was the resumption of STBS's cinema business. On September 1, 1998 SCK City Cinema was established - the first projections are "Argamedon" and "On the edge of the spades", they opened a new chapter - started the activities of the Starachowice Cultural Center.

From the beginning of July to the end of August 2012, cinema renovation and modernization works were underway. The so-called acoustical adaptation, that is, the sound insulation of the walls of the room, and special acoustic panels were installed to create the perfect conditions for cinema projection and concerts. The cinema room is black, enhancing reception comfort. Theatrical equipment has been installed in the most modern 3D technology, with a resolution of 4K and allows the display of the film to 64 frames per second. Also mounted a silver 3D projection screen.

Passive 3D technology allows reception in excellent quality, without unpleasant effects. Since December 2013 the municipality has been investing, which has completely modernized the audience that was raised. New, very comfortable and functional armchairs were installed.
