The Muza Theater has been operating since 1908 - it was opened under the name of "Theater Apollo". In 1910 it was named "Colosseum", 1935 "Europa", 1935 "Dawn", 1940 "Zentral Lichtspiele", 1945 "Freedom" and "Muza" since the 1950s. Muza is one of the studio studios in Poznań, which preserved the look and repertoire of traditional cinema. Muza Cinema offers its audience a rich arthouse program, organizes many film reviews and festivals, collects viewers during cycles directed to students (DKF Cameras, Nasty Cheap Thursdays), women (Babska Muza), families (Mother's Day, Children's Cinema).

The movie's motto is: WE KNOW WHAT WE KNOW. This is reflected in the carefully selected repertoire, which can be found primarily European cinema and author. Cinema is part of the Studio and Local Cinema Network and Europa Cinemas.

In 2007, the movie was managed by Gutek Film, which distributes films. As of February 1, 2008, Muza is run by Estrada Poznań, which is a self-government unit.

In 2008, the cinema celebrated its 100th anniversary with a unique review: 100 movies were shown for the last 100 days of the year. In 2009, the cinema resumed a series of screenings called Confrontations. The New Horizons of Film Education program is being implemented in Muza Cinema. The new arrangement of the cinema hall, the exchange of screen and sound in the hall and the Cafe Muza activity add to the cinema's brightness and make it more attractive to our viewers. And that is the most precious thing for us.
