The Cinema Museum shows the history of cinema since its inception. Among the highlights is the ticket office of Prechtls Wanderkino from the early 20th century and the oldest film ever made in Klagenfurt from 1911 with Emperor Karl I.
The genesis of all Klagenfurt cinemas is shown as well as a look at the international film productions shot here. The amateur film is dedicated to a separate room, the history of the "narrow film" traced back to the 1920s. A Ernemann VIIIb - a functional cinema projector from the 1950s completes the collection, which also reminds of the many cinemas that once existed in Carinthia.
