Musée suisse de l'appareil photographique

HISTORICAL Founded in 1971 after a temporary exhibition by Claude-Henry Forney in the Council Chamber before work. Opened to the public in the fall of 1979 the 1st floor of Grande Place 5. Transferred to the alley of Veterans ditches in an old building and rehabilitated Inaugurated on 27 May 1989. Lying on the neighboring building in 2001 with creation of the visitors' entrance on the ground floor of the Grand-Place.

HERITAGE MISSION The Swiss Museum of the camera's mission is to preserve the memory of gestures and photographic techniques in all areas of its applications preserving objects, devices, instruments, but also products, processes and photographic supplies, and even all documentation, publications and illustrations related to this medium.
