The Archaeological Museum of Santadi was inaugurated in January 2001, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, the Archaeological Service and the Department of Archaeological Sciences and of history, art, University of Cagliari. The discovery in 1968 of ipogeico On Benatzu temple, dedicated to the worship of groundwater, had brought Santadi at the center of the Sardinian archaeological world: in the era of cave shrine nuragica were found thousands of vessels and a large number of bronzes including a tripod, sacrificial daggers, votive ships, a gold foil and remains of jewelry.
