The mission of the National Afro-Peruvian Museum is to narrate without passion the stage of our history related to slavery and reflecting on this historical fact. In the same way, knowing the contribution of Afro-Peruvians to the national culture and identity.
The vision of the National Afro-Peruvian Museum is to help develop and strengthen the identity of Afro-descendants and Peruvians in general. In this way to collaborate, in some way, to banish discrimination, racism and other forms of exclusion.
To achieve these objectives, the Afro-Peruvian National Museum is permanently and without economic purposes to conserve and acquire objects related to the African presence in our country. Equally to the investigation and diffusion of information of this stage of our history.
To meet this goal of dissemination of information, the Afro-Peruvian National Museum uses permanent and temporary exhibitions. As well as talks, seminars, workshops, talks, among other activities.
