Border celebrated in the chronicles and European iconography for the rebellious nature of its inhabitants, bandits fame or engaged in strife and territorial conflicts with neighboring communities. Sonnino was, until the nineteenth century, the extreme limit of the Papal States, and for many centuries has been a bulwark against the Kingdom of Naples.

Museum in the historical events of the territory and the contents of the traditions are revisited in the light of contemporary art and the visitor is called to extend its vision on the more general theme of the border reflectively.
