The Museum of the City of São Paulo is polynucleate; It is distributed in the urban network of the municipality and currently comprises 13 museological spaces: the Solar da Marquesa da Santos, Beco do Pinto, House No. 1 / Casa da Imagem, Casa do Bandeirante, Sertanista House, Morumbi Chapel, Tatuapé, Sítio da Ressaca, Sitio Morrinhos, Casa do Grito, Monument to Independence, Modernist House, Chácara Lane and OCA. It is also responsible for a very important photographic collection about the city (collections such as Department of Culture, Militão, Becherini, Gaensly, Expedição São Paulo 450 years, among others), a collection of movable property (consisting of 17th, 18th, , acquired from the activities of commemoration of the IV Centenary) and a collection of oral history (some themes: Memory of Social Movements, Memory Factory, History of Elections, Indigenous Occupation in the city of São Paulo). It is a networked city museum dedicated to promoting reflection and awareness about the city of São Paulo through the safeguarding, research and communication of its historical and architectural collections and of the most diverse patrimonial references of São Paulo.
