Furnished in two trading houses from the 18th century, the Heimatmuseum Leer is one of the oldest establishments in East Frisia and shows the story of the life and work of the people in the commercial and port city of Leer. The focus of the exhibition and the collection are the areas of prehistory on the Geest, home decor, tiles, Leeraner shipping and herring fishing and East Frisian painters.
