Museum is an educational center that stands out for being a live and direct encounter with those who have actually collected or collaborated to make the materials available to the public. It aims to contribute to the diffusion of culture and knowledge of the Friulian environment to promote respect for it. Keep and exhibits to the public exhibits and documents that concretely testify the prehistoric and historical reality of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Along with the most strictly territorial reality, the exhibition offers exhibits and testimonies from all over Italy and from overseas countries, which testify to the incredible diversity that characterizes our planet. The collection of fossils, thanks to the chronological order of the exhibition, allows to retrace the evolutionary changes that have characterized animal and plant species over millions of years. This is complemented by a collection of specimens that testify to the present naturalistic reality. The approach used is that to consider Earth as a living, complex form, constantly changing and evolving. The same rock is "alive", in fact, a genesis that from the beginning of the world through the eras keeps the clues of what was once the planet. The scientific investigation allows us to unveil and trace our history.
