Museumsfabrik Pritzwalk

The city and brewery museum in Pritzwalk was opened in 2002 in the historic warehouse cellar of the former brewery bolt. His predecessor existed as a museum of local history since 1954.

The permanent exhibition includes the history of Pritzwalk, brewery and industrial culture. There are 5-7 special exhibitions on culture and art each year. The Bismarkturm Pritzwalk, the technical monument Kathfelder Mühle and the museum printing house Streckenthin are also managed by the museum.

In 2018, we will open a new chapter. The Alte Tuchfabrik is opened as a museum of industrialization - our exhibition space will quadruple.

Supporting association of the museum is the nonprofit  Society for Local History Pritzwalk and surroundings e.V.
