The object (part of the Museum) is half of the former Cistercian monastery preserved in Krzeszów in Cieplice. The second part is occupied by the College of the Piarist Order.
The entire Cistercian team is located on the local branch of the "Southwestern Cistercian Trail", which is part of the international "European Cistercian Route".
The main building of the presbytery of the Cistercian monastery (included in the museum and monastery part) was entered in the register of monuments under No. 1397 dated 17 September 1965.
