Pensiunea Alpin Rucar

The Land of Rucar is a splendid spring of history, ethnography of traditions and customs, one of the most beautiful and picturesque tourist areas in the country, fascinating the viewer with its wonderful landscapes. Rucar, the tourist area with a very rich flora and fauna, is at an altitude of 650 meters and is part of the Rucar-Bran passage that has on one side the Piatra Craiului Mountains, Leaota and Bucegi Mountains. The air, the tranquility, the beauty of the surrounding landscapes and the traditions of these places make Rucar an ideal holiday destination for rest and relaxation.  The area is rich in natural products obtained mainly from oysters and raising dairy cows. It is recognized the famous smoked and Rucar cheese (registered trademark) cheese. Both rural and rural tourism (agro-tourism) has been developed in this locality as well as in the surrounding area, offering to those interested, besides the beauty of the places and the traditional food, the special warmth of the people in these places.  The places are full of history and legend, with adventures from the places of the Dacian times. However, as historical documentation, Rucar is an old settlement of mosennes buried here by Mihai Viteazul (~ 1600). The legend says that Negru-Voda placed here those who escaped from the way of the Tartars, joined them in the struggle. The special beauty of the places, the picturesque mountain-mountain ranges, the superb, the folklore and the tradition, attract thousands of tourists every year.
