Theater Donauwörth e.V.

The "THEATER DONAUWÖRTH e.V." was founded on 19.10.1980 by 25 founding members, at that time still as "Bauernsbühne Auchsesheim". This was followed by joining the Association of Bavarian Amateur Theaters and the Bund Deutscher Amateurtheater (BDAT), later also the Association of German Open-Air Theaters.

In April 1985, the children's group "The Stage Trolls" was founded.

The "Freilichtbühne am Mangoldfelsen" was built in the spring of 1987 and the club was incorporated into the

"THEATER DONAUWÖRTH e.V.

restructured with its various playgroups.

In the spring of 1995, the youth group "Locker vom Stoker" was founded.

In the summer of 1998 the puppet theater "Theater am Schnürchen" was founded.

On 4.9.2005 the Förderkreis Freilichtbühne am Mangoldfelsen is founded.

In the year 2006/2007 the Theater Donauwörth together with the city Donauwörth built the new open-air stage at the Mangoldfelsen.

In 2007, the young people of the Theater Donauwörth founded their own youth group with their own leadership.

In 2008, Theater Donauwörth is building its own catering building at the new open-air stage on the Mangoldfelsen.

The "THEATER DONAUWOERTH e.V." meanwhile has 280 members, of which about 140 are always active in front of, on or behind the stage in some form, taking care of backdrops, props and technology, stage sets, or the organization. 75 club members younger than 27 years belong to the children and youth theater.
