Türk Hamam Müzesi

The Turkish Hamam Museum is the first in Turkey and the third in the world.          Turkish baths are an important place for bathing and cleaning culture. While the baths, which are important social spaces, are part of everyday life, due to the changing needs and technological developments, modern time has not found its place and it has begun to lose its function. At this point, the Turkish Bath Museum has been established in order to contribute to the preservation of culture as a museum that has been the subject of Turkish cleansing and bathing culture in a bath that has been used for many years in the historical process.           The hamami was built by Rüstem Pasha, the son-in-law of Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, and is located in the Beypazarı district of Ankara, famous for its cultural tourism. The bath, which was built in the 16th century, was actively used until a close date. After being closed for a while, in June of 2012, the 'Turkish Bath Museum' started to welcome the visit. Silk Peaches, Silver Nalınlar and Atlas Hamam Bohçaları, which are used in the henna baths in the Turkish Bath Museum with a rich collection, constitute an important part of the exhibits.
