Usine A Gaz

Installed in the building of a real gas plant built in 1864 and transformed into a performance hall in the early 90s, the Gas Plant Association has been active for over 16 years. The room it manages property of the city, became the cultural center of Nyon and the entire region. It can accommodate up to 200 people seated and up to 500 people standing.

The annual program is composed of 60 to 70 nights or representations. Dance, theater, children's shows, song, music from here and elsewhere and contemporary music are eclectic program offered by the Usine.

The association conducts a parallel policy to support the creation, through residences that are addressed to both theater companies as musical groups. In addition, the Gas Plant is involved in the distribution of Swiss artists (through the party as "Fridays Factory" or through concerts).

The organization employs five professionals who can count on the help of about 150 volunteers. All are involved for the success of concerts and performances. In addition, the Usine is a training recognized by universities of applied sciences in Switzerland.
