2. Paraportiani Church

Consisting of a cluster of five smaller churches, Paraportiani Church in Mykonos is another must-see while visiting the Island of the Winds. Situated nearby the neighbourhood of Kastro, the intriguing Orthodox church can be reached easily on foot from Little Venice and boasts iconic Cycladic architecture. Its oldest chapel dates back to the 14th century, and it is classified as a national monument.

3. Delos island

Delos is a tiny, remote island just a short ferry ride away from Mykonos. It is designated as an archaeological site and a UNESCO world heritage site. It used to be a sacred island in ancient Greece, rumoured to be where the twin Gods, Apollo and Artemis, were born. Nowadays, it boasts a massive archaeological museum featuring findings excavated from the site.

4. Rhenia Island

Your tour around Mykonos would not be complete without a stopover at the virgin Rhenia Island. Despite being relatively close to the bustling Island of the Winds, it is not as popular as people would expect.
