Balsamine Théâtre

The Balsam was founded by Martine Wijckaert in 1974 and settled in the wasteland of the former barracks Dailly in Schaerbeek in 1981. The programming Monica Gomes and Fabien Dehasseler (co-directors of the Balsamine since January 2011) turned to contemporary creation in its the most diverse forms: theater, dance, performances, videos, installations ... Creations that the audience can follow step by step throughout the rehearsals. La Balsa allows to make these works more accessible while providing a dynamic view of what is created. Ensuring fuel a sustained dialogue, the relationship to public invents each time, deepens and feeds the soil proposed by the artist.

After the show

All representations second creations and after the show, we propose an exchange between the creative team and the public conducted by another artist of the season.

The Balsa Workshops (slowdatings)

We invite you some Saturdays from 17h to 19h to participate in a practical workshop led by an artist of the season. Participation in these workshops is FREE but requires a reservation.
