The Centre of Studies Papirologici is an institution that promotes research in the University of Salento (Lecce), where the seat. The issues being studied are the Papyrology, Egyptology, and classical studies. Collaborate with the Center teachers, researchers and students of the Department of Humanities. Among the major multi-year projects that the Centre promotes there is Soknopaiou Nesos Project, a research project focused on the study of Soknopaiou Nesos (Dime es-Seba), an archaeological site of the Hellenistic and Roman periods in Fayyum in which the Centre carries out archaeological excavations since 2003. the Museum Papirologico University of Salento is one of the most important initiatives of the Center, where you play educational activities, research, study and dissemination. The chairs of Papyrology and Egyptology, which adhere to the Centro Studi, are also represented in separate pages, which illustrate their teaching and research.
