welcome The historic inn, founded in 1723, is located directly on the banks of the wooded Schlachtensee, one of the cleanest lakes in Berlin. The popular destination has always been a meeting place for Berliners: whether to stroll with the whole family, to sit, eat and enjoy nature and gastronomy, whether with friends on balmy evenings in the large beer garden or to go out at concerts and fun dance events.

After the refurbishment of the inn in 2003, the fisherman's hut today consists of the landmarked "Old fisherman's hut" with wine shop, restoration, fireplace, bar and lounge as well as from the new cultivation with generous restaurant with sun terrace and ballroom. A secluded beer garden with beautiful tall trees right on the lake framed the idyllic ambience and the exposed location. Children can play and have fun in the large playground at the beer garden.

Events Unique, peppy or just different? The fisherman's hut is the ideal place for any occasion. Whether private celebrations or business events: we are always happy to assist you in the planning and implementation of your exclusive events and invite you to our in-house events. Our splendid ballroom with a view over the Schlachtensee impresses with its stylish art and unique ambience - enjoy unforgettable moments in our house. history For a long time, the Alte Fischerhütte, located at the northern end of the Schlachtensee, was the only restaurant in the Grunewald. It emerged from a small fisherman's hut built in 1723. In 1863 the restaurant was completely destroyed. After reconstruction, the business was resumed. In 1877, a large banquet hall was built for over 450 people. Originally also wooden pavilions were available directly on the lake shore. In 1964, a hotel operation with 6 double rooms was added. In 1981, a 20-year lease, the opera singer Karl-Josef Hering had concluded with the district office Zehlendorf. This ended in 2001. At this time, however, the majority of the existing objects and the area as a whole was no longer in good condition and was a dormant existence ... the glories of the fishing hut as a destination seemed finished.

Finally, in May 2003, the Berlin restaurateur Josef Laggner took over the project "Alte Fischerhütte", in which he had already "fallen in love" years before. Due to extensive and complex construction measures, the "Fischerhütte" finally became one of the most sought-after and attractive excursion destinations for Berliners.

The sea The Schlachtensee offers with its 5.3 km circumference and continuous riverside path an ideal destination for walkers, those seeking relaxation or for active sports for jogging and swimming. In summer, several large lawns and numerous swimming pools invite you to sunbathe and cool off in the clear waters of the lake. The 41.7-hectare Schlachtensee is connected by a canal to the adjoining "Krumme Lanke", has a length of 2.5 km and is about 6-8 m deep.
