Druivenfestival Hoeilaart

We are ready for the 70th Grape Festival, a Hoeilaart tradition that started in 1948.

Originally the parties were meant to promote the Belgian grape. Because we want to honor this tradition, the grapes are still on display in the town hall during the festival. Since 2008, the year in which our table grape was recognized as a regional product, hobbyserrists also get the chance to exhibit their grapes.

Over the years the Grape Festival has grown into a real village festival. The emphasis is therefore mainly on club life, culture, togetherness and relaxation.

Music lovers will get their money's worth at the Opening Night, Intimate Classics, the kiosk concerts, the Jazz Day, the monthly afternoon concert and Nerorock.

You can stretch your dancing legs in the Scoutsdorp, on the Night of Youth, the Night of the Doender and in Youth Home Phobos.

But the Grape Festival especially means conviviality: strolling around the flea market, the crafts market or the annual fair, enjoying the street animation festival and tasting the tasty things of life, such as the cheesecakes at the cheesecake festival. Even the smallest among us can be surprised by the many animations on children's sizes.

And let's not forget toppers like the light parade, the alley race and the fireworks.

The associations are the hub of the Grape Festival. All of them ensure that Hoeilaart is turned upside down on the third weekend of September.

The organizing committee is made up of volunteers who have been working for a year to ensure that everything runs smoothly. The committee is a mishmash of rock-solid values ​​that have been working for several years and a number of new powers. Since the 2007 festival, Erwin Gysens has been acting as chairman.
