Forum Theater

The Forum Theater is located in the center of Stuttgart, with excellent transport links. It has 120 seats. The legal entity until 2008 was the Forum 3 e.V., since then the Forum Theater is a gGmbH and is supported by the Cultural Office of the City of Stuttgart.

The Forum Theater has a large base of free, professional actors, directors and set designers of a high artistic level.

As a rule, three in-house productions will be premiered per season. The program is supplemented by guest performances and productions by independent groups that are created in-house. It shows a broad spectrum, ranging from the thematization of current social problems, through general human issues, in particular ethical nature, to sophisticated, partly clownesk-circensischer entertainment. The dramatic realization of great literary works forms a focal point. But the music is not too short, with occasional chanson evenings or even a musical. All productions have in common that questions and situations are presented that are valid beyond the day. This corresponds to an aesthetics that is contemporary but not zeitgeist.
