Главный Ботанический Сад

The main botanical garden of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan was founded in 1932 and covers an area of 104 hectares at an altitude of about 900 meters above sea level. The Botanical Garden contains a unique collection of exotic and relic plants that represent the flora of many countries of the world. On the territory of the Botanical Garden there is an exhibition greenhouse, in which more than 1000 plant species of palm trees, bananas, bamboos, cacti, which have scientific value and are presented in a single copy, are represented. Scientists of Kazakhstan on the territory of the garden are conducting research taking into account the achievements of world science, studying rare and endangered unique plant species.
