Villa la Angostura was founded in 1932 and the hotel was built in 1938, one of the oldest buildings in the town. It was built by the Architect Alejandro Bustillo giving it a unique architectural style. He used local materials such as cypress wood and stones from the quarry of the Quetrihué Peninsula. Arq. Bustillo designed and built several important buildings in the area such as El Messidor and La Asunción Chapel. The Angostura Hotel is located in the historic area of Villa La Angostura, in front of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and the Quetrihue Peninsula. Only 2.5 km from the center of the town.
