Alpine Botanical Garden Flore-Alpe, Champex-Lac, is an enchanting place in a beautiful alpine setting.
4000 species of plants flourish there, both from the local flora as mountain ranges in Europe and other continents. This collection presented by habitats, is recognized as one of the richest in the Alps. Gentians, primroses, wild roses, rhododendrons, saxifrage and houseleek enhance its interest.
With paths, rock gardens and streams and the possibility of staying at the Grand Chalet, the Flore-Alpe Garden offers a unique experience to visitors mixing botany, romance and serenity.
In 2007, Flora-Alpe received the Schulthess prices of Swiss Heritage Gardens.
