K1 FILM OG TEATER

K1 film and theater is a creative theater and film environment in Stadsdel Gamle Oslo. We are in the Activity Hall "K1" (Kolstadgata 1) on Tøyen, and the city's offer for youngsters is curious about creative processes.

K1 produces theater performances and short films where youth between 15-19 years participate in the whole process, from idea to presentation to the audience. Our production "The Wind" by Lars Mæhle was chosen to present Oslo and Akershus at the National Scene (The Young Scene) festival at The Norwegian Theater in 2015. Our short film "Askepott på Tøyen" (2016) continued during the UKM festival and became set of 600 youngsters in the target group. This year we won a prize for best stage design for the piece "Hyener" by Anders Duus (2017) at Dramatikkens hus.

Our offer at Tøyen is open and free for everyone in the target group. We believe that good stories inspire and strengthen both the individual and the community.
