Kulturhaus abraxas

The cultural center abraxas was opened at the end of 1995 under the management of the Municipal Office of Culture. In addition to artists' studios, the building houses the large exhibition hall and printing workshop of the BBK e.V., the »Reesegarden« pub with its idyllic beer garden and concert series, the classroom and band practice rooms of the Musikwerkstatt e.V., and the Junge Theater Augsburg, which stages its own studio stage.

The abraxas has a professionally equipped theater that can be rented for events on a daily basis. The adjacent ballet room is used as a theater foyer, but also for exhibitions, as a dance hall or for smaller events and workshops. Especially with families from Augsburg and the surrounding area, abraxas has established itself as an indispensable institution with its high-quality and colorful cultural offerings for children.

The abraxas is also a well-frequented venue with a varied, exciting program from theater to dance to concerts of all kinds as well as cultural home of many Augsburg artists.
