Mar - Museo d'Arte della città di Ravenna

MAR - City Art Museum of the City of Ravenna, since 2002 Establishment of the Municipality of Ravenna, is located in the monumental complex of the Loggia Lombardesca, close to the nearby Church of Santa Maria in Porto.

Among its Permanent Collections The museum houses a collection of contemporary mosaics with works relatable between the mid '900 and today, within his Pinacoteca, a significant group of more than three hundred works dated between the fourteenth and twentieth centuries.

The Institution's birth has boosted the cultural activities of the museum through a major exhibition offer and the establishment of "CIDM - International Centre for Documentation on Mosaic for the study, research and enhancement of the mosaic".
